When I was a child, I would hide my face because I’d get very shy around people.

Guess what— I still am that same person 🤣

In spite of being able to “switch on” for a show, for a meeting, or for a class, I am an introvert at heart. A very happy one, yes, but still someone who feels awkward with attention, and shy when hearing compliments. My default mode is to blend in, rather than stand out.

That’s probably why I love the stage— it is easier to perform for an audience of a hundred rather than 10. It’s probably also why I enjoy the camera— when I play a role, I don’t have to show you myself. And that’s probably why I enjoy teaching for the early years— I connect with the most appreciative audience in the world.

Embrace who you are! No one else can be better at being you 😉
